Steam Handling Equipment - Sealed Steam Traps |
 |
|
Treating small traps as
replaceable items makes more sense because:
-
The cost and
complication of stocking spare parts is avoided.
-
The planning of
maintenance schedules is minimized.
-
Replacement
sealed traps utilize a non-remakeable joint,
eliminating the risk of leaks to atmosphere.

The SIB30, SIB30H and SIB45
are all stainless steel sealed inverted bucket steam traps.
They are supplied with a specified pressure change assembly
depending on the required operating pressure differential.
The traps are available with a range of seat sizes to suit
pressure differentials between 0.5 to 30 bar (7.25 to 435
psi) for the SIB30/ SIB30H and 0.5 to 45 bar (7.25 to 652.5
psi) for the SIB45. Traps for 45 bar are also provided with
an inbuilt check valve as standard.
The T3 is a forged
stainless steel automatic steam trap. It is designed for
instrument tracing or draining low capacity lines. The T3
operates with no loss of steam, and quickly drains air,
non-condensable gases and large quantities of cold water on
start-up.
The TSS21 all stainless steel steam tracer trap is a
completely sealed unit and therefore has no gasketed joints.
It is operated thermostatically using a balanced pressure
capsule and is specifically suitable for non critical
tracing applications. It is however a dual purpose trap in
that it can be fitted in the reverse mode where it will
operate as a fixed temperature discharge steam trap. The
trap fitted in the reverse mode will limit the downstream
temperature to approximately 90°C (194°F) when discharging
to atmosphere. In the unlikely event of the trap operating
into a pressurized return main the capsule will be affected
by the downstream temperature and its operation under such
conditions may be erratic and unpredictable. |
